NingXia Red Protein Smoothie Bowl

Are you a smoothie fan??? We have been huge fans of smoothie bowls this past year because they are quick, filling and oohhh so satisfying!! This one today was over the top perfection and I had to share!!!

One of the things I like about smoothie bowls >>> they can literally be different every time you make them!! I LOVE THAT!!! Variety is the key to satisfaction!!! HOWEVER, I did not want to forget his combo, it was perfection!!

Since we are in the middle of the NingXia Red 14 Day Reset, (Join the reset here) I wanted to focus on NingXia Red for our liquids. I also know I needed to incorporate extra proteins and fats so I would feel satisfied and not want to eat in a few hours. You do not have to add all the “things” we add, but I love the texture with crunchy and chewy, make sure you add that Celtic Sea salt, it will really bring out the flavors!! Feel free to change the essential oil, honestly, you can use this as a base and change everything.

This recipe is for two large smoothie bowls. Each bowl has 400 – 500 calories depending on which yogurt & toppings you use. It also has 27 – 35 grams of protein, again your toppings and yogurt will determine the actual protein. In addition, you are getting 7 – 10 grams of fiber, 40% of your potassium, 388% of your vitamin A, 143% of your vitamin C and sooooo many other good nutrients!! That is amazing!!!  I LOVE power packed meals!!

I add ½ tablespoon of chia to the dry blender first & blend for a few seconds. This powders the chia so it will naturally thicken your smoothie bowl. Once it is powdered, I add NingXia Red and yogurt & blend for 30 seconds. Then everything else. I like a thicker smoothie for my smoothie bowls. You can skip this step & just dump it all in, no worries!! The frozen fruit will generally keep your bowl nice and thick so you can enjoy it like ice cream.

Let me know if you are going to try it and what toppings & essential oils you might use!!!
