a.k.a. My brand-new, easy-peasy, delightfully delicious, end-of-the-moonth survival cinnamon roll, Queen of End-of-Month Survival

It was one of those end-of-the-month moments where everything hits at once — rank bonuses, rapid-fire messages, content deadlines, and detox checklists flying like confetti. I was juggling life with one hand and trying to keep my brain from melting with the other… and stress? Oh, she was hungry. So obviously, I had to feed her.
Naturally, I needed an ooey-gooey cinnamon roll!!
But not just any cinnamon roll. I needed an emergency, macro-balanced, emotionally-stabilizing, blood-sugar-friendly, delightfully gooey, quick-as-lightning cinnamon roll.
Enter: the 2-ingredient dough I had stashed in my fridge like a responsible adult.
Yes, I make a triple batch every Sunday because I’ve learned that life comes at you fast and sometimes you need to whip up tortillas, rolls, or in this case... My brand-new, easy-peasy, delightfully delicious, end-of-the-moonth survival cinnamon roll.
Also known as >>>AKA:
Cinnamon-Roll Therapy
Survival Cinnamon Roll
My Emotional Support Cinnamon Roll
The Base: 2-Ingredient Dough
All you need:
1 cup fat-free Greek yogurt
1 cup Einkorn flour
Mix. Knead. Roll out. BOOM. Dough. (Double or triple & stick it in the fridge for up to a week and thank me later.)
The Filling: Cozy Cinnamon Goodness
1 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp monk fruit sweetener
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1–2 drops Young Living Cinnamon Vitality
2 Tbsp chopped pecans
Mix and spread across the rolled-out dough like you’re tucking it in for a cozy nap.
Roll it up, slice into 4 big babies, and bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes.
Vanilla Yogurt Protein Frosting
2 oz fat-free Greek yogurt
1 scoop Pure Protein Complete Vanilla
1 Tbsp monk fruit powdered sugar
1–2 Tbsp almond milk (as needed for creaminess)
Whisk everything together until smooth and creamy. Adjust the milk for your desired consistency. Whip it smooth and swirl generously over your warm rolls — they’ve earned it, and so have you. FYI>>> Cream cheese would be a great addition.
Nutrition per roll (makes 4):
Calories: 146
Protein: 12.3g
Fat: 6.1g
Carbs: 10g
Compare that to a Cinnabon:
880 calories, 37g fat, 129g carbs, and 59g sugar. (No thanks.)
Yep. I could eat all 4 and STILL clock in under a single Cinnabon — with nearly 50g of protein to boot. I mean, I won’t... probably... but just saying. That’s CRAZY!!
Variations for When You're Feeling Fancy:
I mean I have not tried them yet, but don't they sound fabulous??!?!
Orange Vitality + Macadamia Nut: Bright, citrusy, and dreamy
Pumpkin Spice + Walnut: Fall-in-a-roll (add 2 Tbsp pumpkin to filling)
Lavender Lemon: Not for everyone, but if you're into floral bakery vibes, go for it
Chocolate Protein Swirl: Sub chocolate protein in the frosting, toss in some cacao nibs
Final Thoughts from the Dough Whisperer:
Do I eat cinnamon rolls every day? No. But could I? Absolutely.
I didn’t lose almost 250 pounds by hating food. I did it by finding better ways to love it.
So if you need a little edible therapy that won’t derail your progress, keep a stash of dough in your fridge and crown your own My brand-new, easy-peasy, delightfully delicious, end-of-the-month survival cinnamon roll whenever needed.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have one last roll to "emotionally support." 🤤
